Considering how low our nation has sunk in mathematical education, I shouldn't pick on the Whimperer for its math skills, but the first page of the Living section today included an article about First Thursday, the monthly artwalk downtown (now mostly in the Pearl District), which started twenty years ago. The leader above the article said that First Thursday was moving into its second decade. The math works out if a decade is twenty years long, but not if it's the traditional ten.
